Manage Group Members

When a Person record is added to a Group in Wicket, they become a Group Member.

Group members can have a Group Role and Start and End dates for their role within the Group.

Group members can have multiple roles within the Group and different start and end dates for those roles if needed.

There are two convenient ways to add a person to a Group:

Add a Group Member from within a Group

  1. Navigate to the Group you'd like to add a Person or People to
  2. Within the left navigation, click the Group Members icon

  3. From the Group Members page, click "Add group member"

  4. Fill out the Add Group Member form:
    1. Person - Search for the person from Wicket's database using their name or primary email address (Note: The person must exist in Wicket already)
    2. Group Role - A default role will appear depending on your configuration. Select the role you'd like to apply to this person's membership with the Group
    3. Start Date - Optional - Enter a Start Date for this person's role within the Group. This can be separate from the Group's start date
    4. End Date - Optional - Enter an End Date for this person's role within the Group. This can be separate from the Group's end date
  5. Click "Save"

If the person has multiple roles within the group, repeat the above steps for the other role(s).

Add a Group Member from a Person record

  1. Within the person record left navigation, click the Groups icon

  2. From the Group Members page, click "Add to a group"

  3. From the dropdown, select the Group you'd like to add the person to
  4. Fill out the Add Group Member form:
    1. Group Role - A default role will appear depending on your configuration. Select the role you'd like to apply to this person's membership with the Group
    2. Start Date - Optional - Enter a Start Date for this person's role within the Group. This can be separate from the Group's start date
    3. End Date - Optional - Enter an End Date for this person's role within the Group. This can be separate from the Group's end date
  5. Click "Save"

If the person has multiple roles within the group, repeat the above steps for the other role(s).

Edit a Group Member

  1. Navigate to the Group Member you'd like to modify. This can be done within the Person's record, or under the Group itself.
  2. Click the Member
  3. Edit the data such as Group Role or Start and End date
  4. Click "Save"

Delete a Group Member

  1. Navigate to the Group Member you'd like to delete. Deletions can only be done from within the Group itself, and not from the Person's record.
  2. Click the Member
  3. Click "Delete" and confirm

Note: Wicket does recommend setting an end date on a Group Member rather than deleting in order to retain historic data.
