Segment Actions

This feature offers Wicket MDP administrators the ability to perform actions based on a Person or Organization's inclusion in a Segment.

Tag Action

The Tag Action will grant a tag to any Person or Organization included in the Segment, and options for the tag(s) removal.

1. From the "Action Type" dropdown, select "Tag Action"
   
   
2. Tag Name: Within the "Tag Action" field, enter the name of the tag. You can select existing tags, or create a new one. We recommend using the best practice of all lower-case, and replacing spaces with dashes or underscores, such as "segment_tag".
   
   Status: In the "Status" dropdown, select "Active" if you'd like this action to be enabled. To disable this action, select "Inactive."
   
   Note: If the Tag Action Status is changed to "Inactive" after being "Active," any previously applied tags will be removed from the People/Organization records for this specific segment.
   
   Remove tag on exit: If enabled, the tag will be removed from the Person or Organization if their record is no longer included in this particular segment. De-select this option if you'd like the tag to remain even after their segment removal.
   
   
   
3. Click "Save." If the Status is set to "Active" the system will begin tagging the records included in the segment.
   

Note: Tags applied via this Segment Tag Action will appear in a separate section on People and Organization records. This indicates that the tag is automatically managed, and it cannot be removed on the record itself. The tag will only be removed if the Person or Organization is removed from the segment, or the Tag Action is set to "Inactive."

Integrating Segment Tags

Segment tags are stored on a Person or Organization record similarly to manuall-managed "Tags." This means that they are able to be synced in the same manner.

For example, any tags on a Person record can be synced to their Mailchimp profile. This can then in turn be used for further filtering in Mailchimp.
